The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences is one of the foundational faculties of the Benson Idahosa University. The faculty aims at producing science graduates groomed in the basic theoretical principles and adequately equipped with the knowledge of application so that they can contribute towards meeting the scientific manpower needs of the country.

 





The university through the faculty of Basic and Applied Science offers the Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) degree in three (3) Departments

  • Agriculture Economics and Extension Services
  • Animal Production
  • Crop Production
  • Crop Production and Pathology
  • Fisheries, Forestry and Wild-Life
  • Soil Science

  2. BASIC SCIENCES

  • Biochemistry
  • Microbiology
  • Physics

3. MATHS/COMPUTER SCIENCE

  • Computer Science
  • Industrial Mathematics
  • Maths and Economics
  • Information and Computer Systems

 

Undergraduates in this faculty are thus prepared for jobs in the teaching fields, research, and Industry.
