We go the extra mile in ensuring that every student that passes through our university comes out better than he or she came in and graduating as proud model of the university carrying the spirit, Mind and Body of Christ.

Offices within the student services see every student in the university as instruments in the hands of God to reaching and changing the world for the better. Thus, the students are served and attended to at all time contrary to what obtains generally in other tertiary institutions in this part of the world.

Students Services totally ensures that

a.    Students welfare are well taken care of

b.    That the vision of the university in Christian upbringing is fully ensured using the spiritual Life Department.

Students Welfare in Benson Idahosa University includes:

1.    HOSTEL and ACCOMMODATION.

On gaining admission into the Benson Idahosa University, one of your least challenges would be accommodation.  The university runs a full residential programme thus every student upon admission and payment of full academic fees is entitled to accommodation in our designated hostels. Students in this hostel are assured of full security and 24- hour power and water supply in the hostels. Social and domestic Violence within the hostel is an off-score because we ensure all students in the hostel are updated and mandated to adhere to all hostel regulations, precautions and safety rules.

2.    SCHOLARSHIP FACILITATION

The university outside its own scholarship programmes also assist any student or intending student with scholarship facilities from the federal government of Nigeria, State government or non-governmental organizations while studying in B. I. U. We realize that students sometimes miss various financial opportunities available to them due to rigors in their academic life. Thus we source, facilitate and ensure our students benefit tremendously from every notable financial window to complement their parent’s investment on them.

3.    CLUBS AND ASSOCIATIONS

We encourage students in Benson Idahosa University to socialize and interact on campus under approved club/association outside their normal academic associations. However, students intending to form new clubs must interact with officials in student services office for necessary authorization to ensure that such clubs are in line with B. I. U’s mission as a Christian University.


4.    FEEDING AND REFRESHMENTS

Benson Idahosa University ensures that all students are well fed three times a day in our ultra-modern cafeteria- providing both local and international dishes.


5.    MOBILIZATION OF STUDENTS FOR NATIONAL SERVICE

The B. I. U student service includes a prerogative to ensure that all graduates from the university are mobilised for the compulsory national Youth Service Corps. Unlike the huge problem associate with the process in several universities, how students spend a lot of years waiting to be mobilized, student service ensures that our students are immediately enlisted after their last examinations without any hitch whatsoever.
