The Benson Idahosa University currently has three hundred and forty-three (343) staff. The university staff are responsible for ensuring the capacity of the University to fulfill its mission for current and future generations. Members of the university staff play an integral role by providing oversight and input regarding the University's large scale programmatic goals and its financial and physical resources, and by advocating for the University locally, nationally, and throughout the world. The university staff represent expertise in both the academia and corporate administration. The Chancellor and President are the university proprietors. The university council governs the general university policies, oversees the activities of the principal staffs and ensures the university policies are guided by the respective governing and regulatory bodies. The University council recognizes that the day-to-day management of the University and day-to-day academic affairs are handled directly by the Vice Chancellor and the principal officers.
